Faculty Profile

GK SureshGK Suresh (GK) has over two decades of work experience spanning both corporate and academic sectors, primarily in Marketing, Sales, Strategy, and Business Leadership.

Industry Experience: A Corporate Career spanning 22 years with ITC Ltd., across Sales, Marketing & Business Leadership functions. Was part of the start-up team that developed and launched the Personal Care business, the highlight of which was one of the most successful soap launches in the last two decades. He was in a leadership role for over 6 years as Vice President – Marketing when the Foods business grew at 20%+ CAGR ; He subsequently headed new category development, spearheading the launches of Fabelle chocolates & Sunbean Coffee.

GK was also a member of the Divisional Management Committees (DMC) of both businesses. Early on, GK spent a year at Tata Elxsi immediately after his Engineering.

Academic Experience: In 2017, GK switched careers to academia to give back to society and inspire students through teaching, first at KCT Business School and now at PES University. He is a regular visiting faculty at IIM (B) and NMIMS, having handled courses on International Business, Customer Experience, Luxury Management & Marketing Strategy. He is a member of the governing council of IASMS Institute, Bangalore. He was also handpicked for a program on “Competitive Strategy” at Wharton Business School at ITC.

Consulting/Mentoring Experience: He combined his teaching and mentoring roles with institution-building responsibilities in both Colleges by leading the Consulting efforts. GK has advised and mentored a number of Start-ups like Kottaram Agro (Soulfull; acquired by Tata Consumer Products in 2021), Farm Harvest, Chromachemie (Swee10), Ramnath Chemicals (Odorite), Shriram Capital (Q2S), Innovative Nutrition and Aays Analytics. He has also executed projects for more established companies like DFM Foods (Crax), Jakson Group, Khanna Paper Mills, ITC Limited, ASK Automotive, Manjilas (Double Horse), Indian Oil Corporation, Amrutanjan & Sakthi Finance in areas related to Business Strategy, Innovation, Skill Development, Marketing & Sales Strategies.
