Program Overview

Managers today face unprecedented complexity — balancing diverse expectations across a multi-generational workforce, navigating hybrid work dynamics, and responding to the volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity (VUCA) of modern business environments. In such contexts, technical expertise alone is not enough; what differentiates effective managers is their ability to build, align, and sustain high-performing teams that deliver consistent results.

This program is designed to help managers deepen their understanding of the core drivers of team performance — trust, clarity of purpose, accountability, collaboration, and motivation. Through a blend of experiential learning and case discussions, participants will gain actionable insights into how to create an environment where individuals and teams can excel.

High-performance teams don’t happen because of talent; they happen because of deliberate routines that reinforce clarity, trust, and learning.  Some of the interesting research findings are given below –

  • Psychological Safety = #1 driver of high performance.
  • Highly engaged teams deliver:
    • +14–17% higher productivity
    • +23% higher profitability
    • 78% lower absenteeism
    • 21–51% lower turnover (industry dependent)
  • Hybrid work (measured in controlled studies):
    • No decline in performance, higher retention, improved well-being.
  • AI / digital collaboration uplift:
    • 26–56% faster output on knowledge tasks with AI copilots.

INCENTIVE FOR EARLY SIGN ON!

Program Content

Session 1: Understanding Teams

Explore team roles, expectations, and norms that shape effectiveness.
This session introduces the building blocks of high-performing teams, including shared purpose, complementary roles, and clear expectations. Participants will understand how team norms—spoken and unspoken—directly impact performance, collaboration, and accountability.

Session 2: Stages of Team Development

Examine how teams evolve through different stages and how leaders can support each phase.
Using models such as Tuckman’s (Forming–Storming–Norming–Performing), participants will diagnose their team’s current stage. Leaders will learn the interventions required at each stage—from expectation setting and conflict resolution to empowerment and delegation.

Session 3: Walking the Tightrope

Learn to balance psychological safety with accountability to sustain performance and trust.
Teams thrive when members feel safe to speak up and are still held to high standards. This session teaches tools for creating a climate where risk-taking is encouraged—without compromising performance goals or outcomes.

Session 4: Understanding Conflicts

Identify the root causes of conflict and leverage them as opportunities for growth and innovation.
Participants explore different types of conflict (task, process, relationship) and practice techniques to depersonalize issues, surface diverse viewpoints, and turn constructive tension into better decisions and innovation.

Session 5: Empathy and Active Listening

Deepen awareness of different levels of listening to enhance connection and understanding.
Through role plays and listening diagnostics, participants learn the difference between hearing and truly listening. Focus is placed on listening to understand (not respond), demonstrating empathy, and strengthening interpersonal trust.

Session 6: Feedback for Performance

Develop the ability to give constructive, actionable feedback that drives improvement.
This workshop focuses on frameworks such as SBI (Situation–Behavior–Impact) and Feed-Forward Coaching. Leaders learn to deliver feedback that is timely, respectful, and aligned to performance outcomes.

Session 7: Engagement as a Productivity Driver

Unlock the key drivers of engagement to boost individual and team productivity.
Participants learn what makes people feel committed and energized at work. Using real-world engagement drivers (autonomy, purpose, recognition), leaders identify what increases discretionary effort in their own teams.

Session 8: The Mentor Manager

Apply the principles of coaching and mentoring to nurture growth and potential within your team.
This session helps leaders shift from problem-solving managers to growth-focused coaches. Participants practice asking powerful questions, guiding reflection, and enabling others to take ownership of results.

Session 9: Motivation in Teams

Understand the dynamics of intrinsic and extrinsic motivation to inspire sustained performance.
Participants explore motivational science (including Self-Determination Theory) and learn strategies to unlock intrinsic motivation by connecting tasks to purpose, mastery, and autonomy.

Session 10: Scaling Up for Success

Enable team growth by building capabilities and preparing for future challenges.
This session covers planning for capacity scaling, skill development, succession readiness, and delegation strategies that support team expansion without creating burnout or fragmentation.

Session 11: Well-being and Performance

Recognize well-being as a cornerstone of engagement, resilience, and sustained results.
Leaders understand the link between stress, performance, and decision quality. The focus is on resilience-building practices, boundaries, and creating a supportive environment without compromising productivity.

Session 12: Managing Hybrid Teams

Lead effectively in hybrid work environments through clarity, connection, and collaboration.
Participants learn how to build presence and inclusivity across digital and physical spaces. Topics include communication cadence, managing output (not activity), and maintaining team cohesion.

Session 13: Anchoring Change

Guide teams through change by aligning priorities and building adaptability.
Leaders learn how to navigate resistance, communicate with transparency, and anchor new behaviors. The session equips them with tools to create momentum and maintain team alignment through uncertainty.

Session 14: Handling Difficult Emotions

Prepare for challenging conversations with composure, empathy, and effectiveness.
Participants learn emotional regulation techniques, how to manage their own triggers, and how to support team members experiencing stress, frustration, or disengagement during tough situations.

Session 15: Integrating Learning: Case Discussions

Apply insights through real-world cases and peer learning to consolidate key takeaways.
Through group cases and scenario-based simulations, participants reflect on learning from previous sessions and develop practical strategies for real workplace challenges.
